Ingredients you'll need

  • 1 1/4 cup (125g) flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/3 cup (65g) sugar
  • 65g vegan butter
  • 3 tbsp apple sauce
  • splash plant milk if needed
  • 100g vegan butter
  • 1/2 cup (100g) sugar
  • 200g ground almonds
  • 1 sachet vanilla sugar
  • chocolate for decorating
  • Let's get cookin'

    1. For crust: knead flour, baking powder, sugar, butter, apple sauce; optional: plant milk
    2. Roll out on parchment paper
    3. For top layer: mix butter, sugar, ground almonds, vanilla sugar. Spread on crust
    4. Bake at 150C/310F for 20-30mins
    5. Decorate with chocolate, if desired.
