    Baking can be so easy

This chocolate cake is a lifesaver for anyone who thinks they can't bake. With the fizzing trick, the cake is wonderfully light and moist without eggs or butter. Flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and baking powder are simply stirred together before the sparkling water and oil are added. No complicated technique, no separating eggs—just stir everything together and bake it in the oven. The frosting made from cocoa powder, nut butter, and maple syrup completes the cake. Baked at 180°C (350°F), the result is a moist, chocolatey cake that will win everyone over. Even absolute baking novices can't go wrong with this one—hence the name 'idiot cake.'
