  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 carrot
  • 150g mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) red wine
  • 2 cups (500ml) water
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • salt pepper
  • pinch sugar
  • Let's get cookin'

    1. Roughly chop onion garlic carrot mushrooms fry in oil 5-8mins
    2. Stir in tomato paste and flour
    3. Deglaze with red wine, add water, soy sauce, mustard, bay leaves, thyme, salt, pepper, sugar
    4. Simmer 10-15mins
    5. Strain through sieve
    6. Heat again to thicken more.
